If you lived in New York for at least a month, you are bound to be engulfed in the city's brunch culture. Unfortunately the brunch culture is not a friendly one for students. Prague, on the other hand, offers so many good brunch places where you can "treat yoself" on a budget. Here is one of the many:
Say dobrý den to Mezi Srnky! (do go in because they are awesome. read on to find out why)
Address: Sázavská 19, 120 00 Praha 2 (near Machova)
When you walk in, you are greeted by the rustic and homey vibe of the restaurant.
Once you are seated, you are blessed with a menu where nothing is over $10.
(I'm not crying. You're crying)
After being indecisive for good 20 minutes on what to order, the server brings you water with rosemary as a reward for finally ordering.
My friends and I ordered americanos, hungarian mushroom cream soup, and sandwiches.
The presentation of the foods was not too extravagant and fit the rustic vibes of the restaurant.
The grilled sandwich with bacon was 120 korunas which comes out to be approximately $6. This sandwich gives you the best of both worlds

Savory vs Sweet
There is a bit of both savory and sweet due to the bacon along with the combination of mustard and carmelised onion inside the sandwich.
Crunch vs No Crunch
The texture of the bacon is not like the crispy thin bacon you get in the US but it had a smooth texture. Though the inside of the sandwich was soft, the bread had a good crunch to it. What a combination!
Heavy vs. light
The sandwich came with a salad and it added a fresh and light touch to the sandwich, complementing the possible heaviness from the sandwich.
My policy at any good restaurant: No Food Left Behind.
Highly recommended to anyone who wants a good-quality cheap brunch at a restaurant with "instaworthy" aesthetics #doitforthegram
